Twilight Fall Field Renovation & Cover Crop Seeding Workshop
Join us for an exciting workshop at Picadilly Farm at twilight. Enjoy the setting sun over a beautiful farm landscape and learn about the benefits of cover crops, soil health, and pest management as we tour Picadilly Farm and get a close-up look at different planted cover crops! Learn more about the different types of cover crops (clover mix, perennial alfalfa, winter rye, buckwheat, etc), how they are transitioned throughout the year, the tools used for best cover crop management practices, and how different grants and other resources can support cover crops on your farm! Upon attendance, producers are eligible for a pesticide application credit, a sign-up for a 25lb bag of cover crop seed mix, and a stipend for their time! Presented by Cheshire County Conservation District, Picadilly Farm, UNH Extension, The Monadnock Food Co-Op, Connecticut River Watershed Farmers Alliance, and Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District.
