The District is always in need of volunteers! Volunteers can assist with our annual plant sale, kayaking to remove invasive plants, tree planting, and more! See what options are available below.

A tast of our upcoming opportunities in 2026:

April 29th and 30th:  Plant Sale Preparation

                 --> Organizing and tending to plants

May 2nd: Plant Sale

                 --> Bringing orders to customers

                 -->  Note: you will be on your feet, moving plant orders

May 7th and 9th: Tree planting

                 --> Plant trees and haul water.

June through August: Water chestnut pulling

                  --> Learn to identify water chestnut, remove it, and how to clean, drain, and dry your kayak (or a rental offered by the District)
