Rotational Grazing and Silvopasture

Join University of New Hampshrie and NOFA NH for an evening pasture walk at Presidential View Farm. We'll tour their newly established rotational pastures and discuss best practices for setting up a rotational grazing system. In the second half, we'll dig into silvopasture — the integration of trees and livestock — and explore how this practice applies here in northern NH.

This workshop is held in collaboration with NOFA-NH, as a demonstration event for the Windham County Conservation District’s Connecticut River Watershed Planning Project. A 50 lb bag of cover crop seed and a $50 stipend will be offered to all participants for the event. To receive your cover crop seed, please pre-register by September 4.

Note: There will be a survey to fill out which includes your name and mailing address for the checks to be mailed.

Pesticide Applicator Credits Pending

Event will be held rain or shine.

If you need an accommodation to participate in our programming, please contact  William.Hastings@unh.edu (603-788-4961) prior to the event.  Given ample time, we will make any reasonable effort to meet your needs, including language access services if requested, which will be provided free of charge.
