CT River Valley Grassland Bird Project

Grassland birds in New England are declining due to habitat loss. Bobolinks and Meadowlarks have seen drastic population drops.
Grassland bird habitat guide: needs specific field size (10-25+ acres) and shape (round/square) to reduce predation risks.
Guidelines for grassland habitat: 50-75% grass, minimal woody plants, open landscapes attract birds. Field size: 10-100+ acres.
