Stewarding Climate Resilience and Wildlife Habitat at Surry Mountain Preserve
Monday, July 13th, 3 to 5 PM
Gilsum, NH
Join Matthias Nevins (Meadowsend Consulting), Joanne Glode (The Nature Conservancy), and Chris Liazos (Antioch University MS) to learn more about how forest stewardship can play a critical role in supporting wildlife and preparing forests for a changing climate.
This session takes place at Surry Mountain Preserve (owned by The Nature Conservancy), where you’ll explore how forests are being managed to adapt to a changing climate while supporting New Hampshire’s Species of Greatest Conservation Need. You’ll see how management practices can improve climate resilience and help support wildlife habitat into the future. You’ll also learn about ongoing monitoring of birds, bats, and forest regeneration, and how these efforts inform management strategies.
Event is free. Registration Required.
